Sharing is Caring
Sharing is caring is focused on collaboration and sharing, At LeanCuraçao we truly believe in the power of collaboration and sharing. This will be a blog of a different kind. For the first time I will not talk about Lean.
As a parent we want the best for our kids. We all know the 7 to 9 rules stated in all ‘how to raise your kids’ books so I will skip that part in this blog. As a professional I find it very important to always evolve myself , learn new tools, read books etc. In this process I come across some neat stuff which I use professional but also at home. One of the magical apps which sparks my creativity and I can’t live without anymore is Canva.
Canva is a free graphic-design tool website, founded in 2012. It uses a drag-and-drop format and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics, and fonts. It is used by non-designers as well as professionals. The tools can be used for both web and print media design and graphics.
I use Canva for literally everything, my posts online, my invites, graphics you name it (now you know my secret) I recently introduced it to my eleven year old daughter. She frequently has to make creative assignments for school. She absolutely worked her way in Canva, and created her first poster for her geography assignment.
Canva allows you to upload your own images, use their library with tons and tons of graphics and fonts. You can use it webbased or from your tablet/ mobile phone. For computer savy kids this is a nice addition of tools for them to use. Another nice feature is the ability to share with others. The artwork can be downloaded in pdf, png and jpeg. You will need an email to sign in, there’s a free version which Is loaded with content.
Hope you loved this tip, love to hear if you introduced it to your kid and their experience. I’m so excited about canva and the possibilities, I will introduce it to my eight year old daughter very soon.
